COTB_2013_bottle> Karl Strauss celebrated 24 years with its third annual Changing of the Barrels event and the debut of its 24th Anniversary Flanders- style ale.
> SweetWater Brewing celebrated their Sweet 16 this month with an 80’s themed party, live music, food and a special supply of brews.
>Several breweries attended the second annual Queen City Brewers Festival in Charlotte, NC including Ass Clown, Birdsong, Four Friends Brewing, Free Range Brewing Company, NoDa Brewing, Olde Mecklenburg BreweryRock Bottom, Triple C and sponsor Carolina Beer Temple.
>The New Mexico Brewers Guild hosted its Winterbrew Fest pairing local craft beer and comfort food.
> Wicked Weed Brewing hosted their grand opening in Asheville, North Carolina this month.
> Grandstand helped sponsor NODA Brewing’s North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue event this month. NODA hosted the event with live music and beer with all the proceeds going to the animal rescue.
>Several breweries including Saw Works Brewing joined together to celebrate the annual Tennessee Winter Beer Fest with beer, food, commemorative tees and glasses. They raised money for the New Hope Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center.
> Fate Brewing in Scottsdale, AZ held their grand opening this month.
> Eagle Rock Brewing celebrated their third anniversary with a party that included a tap takeover of 22 beers including a their newest member brewed just for the occasion “Threes”— a Rye American Strong Ale.
> Nonprofit organization Raise Your Pints in Mississippi held a tasting for members of their legislature to help them learn more about home-brewing as they work to get it and its transportation fully legalized in their state.
> Bell’s Brewery held several events for Kalamazoo Beer Week including a Vintage Tasting similar to a mini beer festival. The tasting included a special charity auction to benefit nonprofit organization Fair Food Matters.

The Zwickelmania-Oregon Brewery Tour takes place on February 16. The Annual Hillsdale Brewfest in Portland takes place on February 26.
